Great show. Much appreciation to (the taper and)Jeff for getting it to lma. One song at a time is not an issue for me, though streaming all is convenient. I'm just thankful I can hear the show. Guest on keys was more noticable at show than on recording. Drops in volume are annoying but tolerable. 3 stars for recording, 5+ stars for performance. I listen to VBR mp3s at work and given that format and purpose, recording is great. I recall being two rows from Nershi and Todd and loving, absolutely loving Mess. My name is mudd. Anymess, great show, one of best in 2004 for me. Railroad cheese

Subject: Great show, good recording
I was at the show and the guys were on fire that night. Not being a SCI fan, I didn't know anything they played. The 7SM is epic, and the Hobo Song encore is great.

I got spoiled from the soundboard patches we were getting; the crowd chatter is very present. Also, the second set seems to fade back and forth at times from one mike to two. Doesn't impede listening to this great show, though. I'd give the recording three stars, and the music five.

Subject: Great Show - He uploaded a WAV file
Nice recording of an outstanding & unique show!

NOTE: All WAV files should be removed from folders before uploading. This is throwing off the listing as well as likely the streaming feature.

Subject: info about DAT > flac transfer
You're right Mark. I gave Jeff the files on a data disc to upload & didn't give him the info. Source: Schoeps mk4v's(ORTF)FOB/slightly LOC@8'>ps2>d100>D7(analog in)@48k

... where is the full source ? I know it was Karl's rig, schemps>ps2>d100>ANALOG out>d7(analog in). I know this cause Todd's digital 7pin port doesn't work on his D7, so he goes analog in.

Mic Config ? I believe Karl runs ORTF, but don't quote me on that ...

What was used in the transfer ? Software, etc ...

Sorry I am just an anal taper ...

i was at this show and it rocked! thankyou so much whoever you are that put this one on archive -- i have not heard the set yet( i am currently dl'ing the show) but the fact i was there is all good for me to wanna have it:)
my bro scotty got the beer bottle that billy was playing slide guitar with -- nice snag -- you can see the marks of the strings on the dos equis bottle that he used :)

Subject: sound quality
the sound quality is freakin' real nice on this seed. my guess is trat the mics were schoeps mk4v no t mk4.....the mk4 tend be more bassy (boomy)in my experience.....the bass here is tight.......or maybe it is because the bass work is acoustic that it is tighter and less boomy....nice work boyz!
